to the Registrar registrar@mcusasoccer.org or mail to:
MCUSA, 6140 Hwy 6, #224, Missouri City, TX 77459 prior to the start of the season,
prior to the player being rostered to a team and that team being activated, and a uniform has been ordered.
All refunds requested after the dates listed above will be partial refunds only
(less any expenses already incurred for that player). No refunds will be given after the league season begins.
NOTICE: THERE WILL BE A $15 FEE FOR ALL RETURNED CHECKS
ORGANIZATION:
The Missouri City United Soccer Association (MCUSA) is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization founded to promote and administer the operation of a participation soccer league in Fort Bend County and surrounding areas. MCUSA is run by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by each team’s representative and assisted by paid staff employees.
SEASONS:
Recreational teams play a Fall and Spring season. Registration for Fall is held in June/July with games beginning in August/September.
Registration for Spring is held October/November with games beginning in March.
Practice will be held twice a week for U8 thru U10 teams with game(s) on Saturdays.
U6 teams will practice once a week. U4 teams will have a combination practice/game on Saturdays only.
In addition, MCUSA offers one Recreational tournament the second week of October of each Fall season -
The Friendship Tournament.
INSURANCE:
Youth players, coaches, and assistant coaches are covered by accident insurance during each season at scheduled practices and games. A deductible and policy limits apply. The policy is secondary to insurance maintained by parents, employers, etc.
EQUIPMENT:
It is MANDATORY per MCUSA Rules for all players to wear shin guards. One jersey, one pair of shorts, and one pair of socks are provided by the club.
REGISTRATION:
New AND Returning players are guaranteed a position on a MCUSA team if your completed registration is received by the Guaranteed Placement HYSA Deadline. Registration is not considered complete until all information is received; players with incomplete registrations will not be considered for placement.
GRADE APPROPRIATE POLICY:
If a player’s birth date is between Aug. 1 and Oct. 16, the player may request Grade Appropriate
Placement. This policy applies strictly Inhouse. These birthdates are the MCUSA guidelines and will allow
Recreational players the option of playing with their school grade peers. Grade Appropriate Placement
will be made depending upon availability in the requested age group. A copy of the player’s report
card is mandatory at the time of registration to verify the grade the player is expected to be in the
Fall season. Grade Appropriate Placement cannot be made if the player’s birth date appropriate age
group is older than the requested Grade Appropriate age group. No player is allowed to play in an age
group younger than their birth date appropriate age group. Note: Choosing Grade Appropriate Placement
ordinarily will mean playing with and against players who are in the same school grade but who may
be as much as 12-14 months older.
TEAMS DISBANDED:
On occasion it becomes necessary to disband a team for the upcoming season. Some of the reasons are
drop in numbers of players, larger roster sizes at the older age groups, Challenge/Classic tryouts
affecting current team rosters, coaches not returning to the team, lack of player commitment.
In the event that the coach chooses not to return, we will make every effort to place the affected
players onto teams that are geographically as close as possible to home. Individual players will not
be called. Our commitment to you is to place your child on a MCUSA team. In addition, MCUSA will try
to keep at least two players together if at all possible when reassigning players. Once a team has been
disbanded, this decision cannot be reversed.
