What is Recreational?

• Full Service Recreation Soccer Program for Boys and Girls Ages U4 - U10.
• Two Seasons per year:
  • Spring (March through May)
  • Fall (September through November)
• Kid Safe background check with STYSA for all coaches, assistant coaches and team managers.
• Follow USYS recommendations for all age groups.
• Follow STYSA recommendations for all age groups.
• Follow HYSA recommendations for all age groups.
• We conference like level teams together each season to insure like level teams get to play teams of similar playing level.
• Require all players play at least 50% of the game.
• Encourage all players to play every position over the season.
• Zero tolerance policy towards verbal abuse of any player, coach, league official, committee member, or parent.
• Issues Resolution process to insure player, coach, parent, referee issues are addressed promptly.
• Ages 5,6,7,8 all play all of their games at the same location. (Community Park or Ridgeview Park)
• Director of Intramurals is empowered to develop and organize individualized programs for the respective age groups. Some of the programs organized in the past two seasons include:
  • Age Specific Clinics with Classic coaches.
  • Opening Day Celebration.
  • Trip to Local Soccer Events – Houston Dynamo, University of Houston Cougars, etc.
  • Age Specific Friendlies.
  • Pre-Tournament training.
  • Joint Age Group Practices.
  • Ball boy or ball girl at Houston Dynamo game.
  • End of Season Party.
• On-Line Registration.
• U5 – U8 Coaches receive a coaching kit that includes game ball and first aid kit.
• All Players receive a Puma soccer jersey. Missouri City United Soccer Association is a proud partner with Puma.
• U5 - U10 players receive a jersey, socks, short.
• Laws of the Game Education for Parents.
